On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, WisePies Pizza’s WishPie, a limited-edition dessert pizza with a charitable mission, made its grand entrance into the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The launch event, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, took place at the Kroger store located at 7505 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, TX.
The choice of Irving as the launch site was explained by Kroger officials. They stated, “This particular Kroger was selected due to its high volume of customers and the fact that the store is continuously ranked as the Best Grocery Store by residents who vote to select the Irving Chamber of Commerce’s Best of Irving awards.”
WiseChoice Foods LLC, the maker of the frozen pizza brand WisePies Pizza, and Make-A-Wish®, the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, are partnering once again to bring back the WishPie. This limited-edition dessert pizza is specially designed to fundraise and contribute to fulfilling more wishes during the holiday season, following its successful 2022 campaign that granted hundreds of wishes to New Mexico children facing critical illnesses.
WishPie, a cinnamon apple drizzle dessert pizza, boasts a stone-fired, cinnamon-infused traditional crust, adorned with a cinnamon-sugar sauce and diced gala apples. Each pizza comes with a packet of vanilla icing. The packaging creatively blends WisePies Pizza brand elements with Make-A-Wish brand colors, showcasing a beautiful blue package that tells the story of a granted wish.
