“Thanks to the generosity of all New Mexicans, our supportive media partners and the WisePies Pizza & Salad crew that tirelessly informed guests of the WiseInitiative for 60 days, we have successfully met and exceeded our goal,” exclaimed WisePies Spokesperson Season Elliott. “We are humbled by the overwhelming support for this first-year program. We know it will make a huge impact in our communities today and for years to come.”
“One of the best indicators of a true friend is the ability to come through when the need is greatest, and that’s just what WisePies has done for the APS Community Clothing Bank,” said APS Superintendent Raquel Reedy. “Students in every corner of Albuquerque struggle to have adequate clothing so they can be at their best in school. WisePies just made that struggle a little easier for many students and their parents. We are so grateful for the company’s help.”
“Goodwill Industries of New Mexico would like to congratulate Wisepies and their team on the success of their first “WiseInitiatives Supporting Community” Program. We are grateful and humbled to be part of the WiseInitiatives Program in supporting the APS Clothing Bank and Goodwill’s GoodJobs programs in Gallup and Rio Rancho, which helps people find long term employment that meets their needs and interests. Community initiatives and support from local businesses is vital to future growth and security for New Mexicans,” stated Mary Best, President/CEO of Goodwill Industries of New Mexico.
The 2017 WiseInitiative Supporting Community program will differ slightly as we will invite non-profits in all markets to participate in a submission process for their organizations to be considered as a beneficiary of fundraising efforts.

ABOUT APS COMMUNITY CLOTHING BANK:
Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) has a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization called APS Education Foundation. This foundation was established to promote private support of the districts and its students. In partnership with APS, they promote and garner financial and in-kind resources to provide students with the opportunity to succeed.
Specifically, the Foundation benefits the APS Community Clothing Bank. They make sure students in need of basic clothing receive socks, undergarments, shoes and coats so they can attend school and get an education. They have helped more than 4,500 children each year in need of clothing and shoes and have seen a 100% increase in need since last year. Students receiving benefits are handled discreetly with clothing delivered directly to the school they attend.
ABOUT GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NM:

In addition, Goodwill also provides the GoodJobs program statewide to help individuals find employment in the community. Funds raised for the Gallup and Rio Rancho communities will go towards funding the GoodJobs program. For more information about the programs and services Goodwill provides visit goodwillnm.org.
