“I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.” Thomas Jefferson

On the heels of an unexpected year full of never-before-seen challenges and obstacles, we reflect on the fact that work at WiseChoice Foods never stopped. We may have sat stunned in our stay-at-home offices a few times sorting through next possible steps. We may have wiped away a few tears or took a walk around the block to reset the mood, but the work never stopped. Often the future was not clear; we kept taking that one next step that WAS clear to maintain forward movement.

And in our preparation, our research and our tenacity, we were “lucky” to achieve growth in an unexpected way. We were lucky to grow into large retailers like Kroger, Costco, Whole Foods and Albertson’s Markets. Our little company with only 4 full-time employees and a team of support staff all over the country has grown from “just” a small New Mexican company to “still” a small New Mexican Company in 10 states and in major retailers!

We have been “lucky”. I’ll be the first to say it, but our luck comes from our exceptional and hard work and from being seen virtually in all the right places. There’s no doubt our “luck” is earned, and it appears to me, 2021 will be the luckiest year of all full of clean-label pizza in new places and spaces.
